From hazy second edition memory, here are a few notes.
Street Samurai. cybernetically enchanced merc/bodyguard
Rigger: vehicle specialist. driver/ pilot
Hacker type.
Techno/street mages
Shamans (think native american magic activley working)
Races humans, elves, trolls, dwarves.
Game play, or at least to, involved having pools of dice and being able to assign them to actions with open ended rolls for boxcars.
Near Future setting where dormant portals have reopened and reawakened ancient magical things
Cyberpunk with magic. Mega corporations dominate the world fielding even private armies.
Shadowrunner groups tend to be mercs working under the radar combating mega corps working for private citizens and or small honest buisness. etc etc.
Hope that helps, and or gets you started. Yes I would be interested in playing again.

I still prefer 3rd edition, but 4th was really growing on me when i stopped playing. My gaming group continued to play in my absence. The game mechanics are real different but cool. If you really want to know more about 4th ed. ask AKU or Snake here on the forum. I actually looking forward to playing it again once my WHFRP game is finished.

Looks like I have had several votes towards playing Shadowrun in the weeknight game session I am trying to get setup. I had a good portion of the 3rd edition stuff, but have some of the 4rth edition stuff on the way.
For anyone interested, we will probably be starting up in the next two weeks.
