Zen and the art of Karma...

As some of you will notice, there is an additional stat on the profiles of our board...Karma...and a couple of new options under other people's profiles...applaud and smite. These are available to any member who has made at least 50 posts on the board.

Karma is a way to applaud  or smite  someone who posts something cool or something totally inane. Feel free to use it as you see fit.

However, in our early stages of Karma, there were some mixed feelings about this system. Therefore, allow me to explain what Karma is NOT:

  Karma is NOT INTENDED to be serious. Don't take it personally...

  Karma is NOT INTENDED to be a way of classifying or degrading people...

  Karma is NOT INTENDED to hurt your feelings...

Here is what Karma IS:

  Karma is a toy. If you like what somebody says in a post, applaud them...

  Karma is meant to be fun. If you applaud somebody, let them know why. Also let them know why you smite them. It's the nice thing to do...

  Email info@cybertuna.net or click the green scroll under my name to the left to send me a PM if you would like to opt-out of Karma. I can set you to "0" Karma permanently if you wish.
